SafeShare - What Is It?

Updated over 2 months ago

In the sphere of cybersecurity and monitoring, protecting the sensitive information of executives and VIPs is a priority for any organization. Axur has developed SafeShare, an innovative tool that provides a secure and effective way for executives and VIPs to input their monitoring data themselves. In this article, we will explore what SafeShare is, how it works, and how to make the most of this solution.

SafeShare: What Is It?

SafeShare is a platform developed by Axur to enable executives and VIPs to provide their own sensitive monitoring data without the need to share it with third parties or access the Axur platform.

This solution is particularly relevant for organizations looking to engage executives and VIPs from their companies, allowing them to input their own data for monitoring securely and without the need to share information with third parties.

The Security of Safe Share

SafeShare was designed to be a secure data collection channel, eliminating the need for intermediaries and the traffic of sensitive information through insecure means. The security of SafeShare is based on two fundamental pillars: data-at-rest encryption and data-in-transit security.

  • Data at Rest: All personal information provided by executives through the SafeShare form, such as documents and credit card data, is encrypted in our database using the AES-256-GCM (Advanced Encryption Standard with Galois/Counter Mode) algorithm. This is the industry gold standard, adopted by the U.S. government to protect top-secret information. The 256-bit key offers a level of complexity that makes brute-force attacks computationally infeasible with current technology. The GCM mode adds a layer of authentication that ensures data integrity, protecting against tampering and guaranteeing that the information has not been improperly modified. Notably, the security architecture ensures that not even the client's or Axur's security teams have access to the raw data, ensuring maximum confidentiality.

  • Data in Transit: All communication between the executive's browser and the SafeShare platform is protected by HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure). This means that the data is encrypted during transmission using the TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol. The use of digital certificates in SafeShare establishes a secure channel that prevents the interception and reading of data by third parties, such as in man-in-the-middle attacks, ensuring that the information reaches our platform with integrity and confidentiality.

This multi-layered security approach ensures that executive data is handled with the highest level of protection, from the moment it is entered until it is stored in our database, solving the security and trust challenges in data collection for monitoring purposes.

How to Use SafeShare

The process of using SafeShare is simple and secure. To get started, you need to have a corporate email address registered in the Axur system, a security measure to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to the form.

1. In the Monitoring Settings screen, go to the “Assets” section and select “Executives.”

2. Next to the executive's name, you will find a “copy link to the form” button. This button will be available only if the executive has a registered corporate email address.

3. The platform user shares the generated link with the executive, whether through email, Slack, WhatsApp, or any other communication channel.

4. The SafeShare form can be accessed in both desktop and mobile modes.

5. The executive will open the link, agree to the Terms of Acceptance, and receive a confirmation token in the registered corporate email.

6. The executive should copy the token and paste it into the SafeShare screen.

7. The executive fills out their monitoring data, and when the process is completed, the data is sent to the Axur platform.
