How to cancel a Takedown request?

Updated over a year ago

It is possible to cancel a Takedown request for a URL if you have requested it by mistake.

When we request a Takedown for a ticket, the Platform waits for a 3-minute period before confirming the request. During this time, you can cancel it yourself.

How to cancel the Takedown?

The tickets are listed under Open and Incidents, and it is in this list that you can request the Takedown of the pages you are interested in taking down. You can track the waiting time for the Takedown on the ticket itself, right after the request. See below:

To manually cancel, it must be done before the 3-minute time limit by using the cancellation button. Once canceled, the ticket will remain on the current list, and the processing will not begin. Canceling this request does not count towards your contracted Takedown package, provided it is done within the allowed cancellation time.

How to cancel after the 3 minutes?

You should contact us requesting the cancellation of the Takedown, providing the ticket ID, so that we can cancel the request before the notifications start. If the ticket processing has already begun (the team has already sent notifications to the website owners), the Takedown will be considered resolved. Therefore, if you realize that a Takedown request for a specific URL was made in error, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can quickly explore alternative solutions.

Please note that once the notifications have been sent, even if the Takedown is interrupted, we cannot guarantee that the page will not be removed, as the reporting process has already been initiated.

If notifications were made and the content was active at the time of the Takedown request cancellation, our team will notify the contacted entities to request that they disregard the previous notifications. In cases where the content has been removed, a request for reactivation should be made.
