How is a Takedown counted?

Updated over 2 months ago

Here you can understand how a Takedown is counted and how we consider each URL. See the information below:

1. Each actionable URL will be considered as 01 countable items.

  • On social networks: a profile, page, post, or photo is considered an item for counting. A Takedown can be requested for a profile or page when it has more than one post or photo that qualifies as a threat. If this action is not successful, it will be necessary to act directly on each post or photo.

  • On online marketplaces: each advertisement is considered one item for counting.

  • On websites or webshops: each advertisement is considered one item for counting.

2. Each domain name subject to blocking and/or cancellation of registration will be considered a countable item.

  • A domain name that is hosting inappropriate content may be subject to 2 distinct actions:

— Action to remove the content.

— Action to block/cancel the registration of the domain name to prevent its use in new frauds. In situations like this, two items will be considered for billing. The client can choose only 1 of the two actions, when applicable.

  • Countable domain names. Domain names whose registrant is illegitimate and/or hosting fraudulent content are subject to having their registration blocked or canceled. Each domain name will be registered as a separate item for billing purposes.

It is valid to note that the takedown is only charged when it is closed as Solved!
Tickets that are interrupted or closed as unresolved are not deducted from your package.

Takedown Reopening - Reups

Incidents that return to activity after their Takedown has been confirmed will be registered as a new item for treatment and may be considered as a reup. To be considered a reup, the incident must meet all the following criteria:

  • Return to activity within 15 days from the moment the original incident's Takedown is resolved.

  • The URL must be identical to that of the original incident.

  • The hosting provider must be identical to that of the original incident.

Incidents that meet the above criteria are not counted toward your Takedown package. Incidents that return to activity after their Takedown has been confirmed and do not meet any of the reup criteria will be counted as a new incident and will be subject to billing.
