When a takedown request is submitted for a fraudulent URL, the ticket is routed
through predefined handling workflows based on the fraud type and the applicable
offering. During this process, notifications are sent to the entities responsible for
hosting the content and registering the domain, according to each specific scenario.
Notification Volume and Frequency
There is no fixed number of notifications sent to the responsible entities during the
takedown process. The number of notifications is determined based on the relationship established with each entity, including priority handling workflows, dedicated reporting channels, and agreed-upon operational processes.
Sending a high volume of notifications to the same entity does not necessarily result in faster content removal. On the contrary, submitting multiple reports for the same URL may lead the responsible entity to deprioritize the case and, in some situations, even apply restrictions due to excessive reporting (flooding).
The success of a takedown is directly related to the quality of the notification and the
established relationship with each entity, rather than the number of reports submitted. For this reason, the notification strategy is defined on a case-by-case basis to ensure the most effective approach for each situation.
